Honestly I did. I leave next Friday and I am so beyond excited. Just a couple of months after posting this I'm now heading over to The City of Light. I basically entered a competition online and got an email yesterday telling me I'd won.
I've won return airfares for me and a friend, 5 nights accommodation, $1000 spending money and tickets to see Interpol and U2 live.
I'll finally see the Mona Lisa and stroll the streets of Paris. It's insane and completely unexpected. Please, please, please give me your suggestions of where to shop, eat, drink. Places to avoid, things to see and do etc.

Paris really is the jewel of the world - there's no other way to describe it. I wasn't there for long so just visited all the major attractions - but if you're into cemeteries, Pere Lachaise cemetery was beautiful to stroll around in. Ancient graves and the resting place of many famous figures!
The Spanish quarter at night is meant to be great.
Just make sure you try some french bread, and everything for that matter - it's worth splurging on food in Paris - truly the best in the world :)

ReplyDeleteThe bangle is from an accessories store called 'Lovisa' I dont know how many of them there are, it recently opened in my local shopping centre. Maybe google it? Its like Equip + Diva on acid but cheaper and with more cool shiz! haha x
